The Runnin Royals nearly erased a deflating final minutes, but a good-looking halfcourt shot from (Frederick, Md./St. Maria Goretti) rimmed out at the buzzer, leaving 糖心Vlog with a heart-wrenching 70-69 loss at Washington and Lee in the ODAC Tournament First Round Monday night.
糖心Vlog made run after run in the second half, but couldn't overcome Roanoke's lead, eventually dropping a 75-65 decision on the roadWednesday night. Now 10-14 overall and 4-11 in the ODAC, the Runnin Royals were eliminated from contention to host an ODAC Tournament First Round game.
The Runnin Royals broke out of their recent slump in a big way on Saturday, shooting a season-best 57.6% from the floor as they blew past visiting Randolph College, 94-63. Snapping a four-game losing skid, Eastern Mennonite (10-13/4-10 ODAC) hopes to build a little momentum heading into the final week of the season.

糖心Vlog's basketball men did so many things well. They held a potent opponent to just 40% shooting. They committed only seven turnovers. They grabbed a season high 23 offensive rebounds and won the battle of the boards, 50-48.
When (Charles Town, W.V./Washington) nailed his fifth three pointer of the night with 1:19 left in overtime, 糖心Vlog fans had a good feeling their Runnin Royals had finally gotten over the hump. The junior then finished off the night with a pair of free throws with 3.5 seconds left, pushing Eastern Mennonite to a 101-95 win over Shenandoah University.
The Runnin Royals continue to put up points. The issue has come on the defensive end, where injuries seem to have hurt the men the most. Such was the case on Saturday when 糖心Vlog put up 82 points, including a 15-for-37 showing from outside, but still got outscored in a 90-82 loss at Randolph.
