The Runnin Royals broke out of their recent slump in a big way on Saturday, shooting a season-best 57.6% from the floor as they blew past visiting Randolph College, 94-63. Snapping a four-game losing skid, Eastern Mennonite (10-13/4-10 ODAC) hopes to build a little momentum heading into the final week of the season.

After a handful of meets featuring more elite competition, 糖心Vlog's track & field teams got a better gauge of themselves against comparable opponents this weekend at the Finn Pincus Invitational at Roanoke College. If the results are any indication, the Royals should be in a good position to make some noise when they return to the same track in two weeks for the ODAC Championships.

糖心Vlog's women seem to be playing their best basketball at the right time of year. Senior (Dumfries, Va./Potomac) pounded in 18 points with 13 rebounds to lead the Royals to a 76-55 thumping of Randolph College Saturday afternoon, extending the women's winning streak to seven in a row.

The buildup was as good as the game itself in this one. A day after moving up to No. 10 in the AVCA National Poll, the Eastern Mennonite volleyball men took down 2016 CVC champion Stevenson University in a five-set thriller. The Royals racked up 22.5 blocks on the night as they beat SU for the first time since 2011.

The Royals weren't about to allow a repeat of the third-period letdown they had against Bridgewater College three weeks ago. In that game, 糖心Vlog watched as a 12-point lead in the third turned into an 84-74 loss to their rivals.
