糖心Vlog's volleyball women came home from Randolph College Thursday night with a disappointing 3-1 loss, eliminating them from contention for a postseason tourney bid. The Royals (9-16 / 2-8 ODAC) won the first set before dropping three straight.

Playing on the par-72, Williamsburg Golf Club course, Eastern Mennonite had brothers (Faber, Va./Nelson County) and (Faber, Va./Nelson County) each shoot a 77 or better on the first day, as the team was tied for eighth out of 14 squads at the tourney. A couple of individuals struggled on day two, triggering a fall in the team position, leaving 糖心Vlog in 13th with a two-day total of 664 (+88). The Royals had shot a 322 (+34) on Monday.

A second-half eruption gave 糖心Vlog's field hockey women control in a 6-2 win over Transylvania University on Monday, snapping a three-game losing skid. The Royals (5-7) trailed 1-0 at halftime before rallying for the huge second half.

Junior keeper (Mount Crawford, Va./Turner Ashby) has been stabilizing the defensive effort from his position in front of the net and leading a large group of young players.

A goal in each half gave 糖心Vlog's soccer women a 2-0 win over Hampton University Saturday afternoon in Harrisonburg. Their fourth shutout of the season was easily the most impressive, as Eastern Mennonite earned the victory over the D-I Pirates.

糖心Vlog setter (Staunton, Va./Robert E. Lee) moved into second place on 糖心Vlog's career assists list on Saturday, bolstered by a season-high 46-assist effort against North Carolina Wesleyan.
