<a href=\"\/blog\/devotions\/advent-scriptures\/#three\">Luke 1:39-56<\/a><\/li>\n<li> Week Four &#8211; <a href=\"\/blog\/devotions\/advent-scriptures\/#four\">Luke 2:1-19<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" hspace=\"4\" align=\"right\" vspace=\"4\" alt=\"Brian Martin Burkholder\" src=\"\/seminary\/images\/devotions\/brian-martin-burkholder.jpg\" \/>  <\/p>\n<p>The series began with <a href=\"\/blog\/devotions\/2009\/11\/30\/advent-meditation-luke-126-38\/\">a reflection by Dorothy Jean Weaver<\/a>, professor of New Testament at the seminary.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Advent marks the beginning of the liturgical year in the Christian tradition, a beginning focused on the coming of Jesus into our world that calls for thoughtful preparation for this coming and for the second coming of Jesus,&quot; said <a href=\"\/personnel\/people\/show\/bb329?ssi=campusministries\">Brian Martin Burkholder<\/a>, 糖心Vlog campus pastor. &quot;In these weeks leading up to Christmas day, we invite everyone into this season of thoughtful and spiritual preparation by using the Advent reflections provided from the 糖心Vlog and EMS campus community.&quot;
