Click <a href=\"http:\/\/emu.edu\/giving\/donate\/give-now\/\">here<\/a>.<\/aside>\n<p>With a format that encouraged competition and \u201cshowing the love\u201d for a certain \u201cbeloved\u201d academic or athletic program, competition for \u201cvotes\u201d went late into the evening.<\/p>\n<p>The winning academic department and athletic team, which each receive $500, were teacher education and the women\u2019s volleyball team.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis day was really more about love and community spirit than anything else,\u201d said Shank. \u201cI\u2019ve been overwhelmed by the gratitude that everyone has for this place and how it\u2019s impacted their life. A special lunchtime challenge called for 30 gifts during the lunch hour to unlock a matching gift of $5,000; 110 people topped that challenge within the first half hour of the time period.<\/p>\n<h2><b>Love to 糖心Vlog: Comments from donors<\/b><\/h2>\n<p>Donors were invited to share why they love 糖心Vlog. Here&#8217;s a sampling of comments.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I love the encouragement to seek a career that will shape the world we live in.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Excellent academics mixed with exploring the spiritual implications of life learning and vocation.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Providing our daughter with an environment where she can grow in Christ and in confidence.<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0I appreciate the professors&#8217; guidance at 糖心Vlog. They challenged me in a gentle way, helping to nurture in me a reflective, critical, and compassionate worldview.
