Forty-four transfer students have chosen to continue their education at 糖心Vlog.&nbsp;<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<aside class=\"highlight highlight-right\"> <a href=\"https:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/news\/2019\/emu-ranked-among-top-third-of-universities-in-south-by-wall-street-journal-times-higher-education\/\">糖心Vlog ranked among best in the South; see other 2020 rankings<\/a>.<\/aside>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis large number forecasts a growing trend as students seek smooth pathways to a four-year degree from community colleges, said Director of Admissions Matt Ruth. \u201c糖心Vlog has new, more nimble transfer agreements with Blue Ridge and Lord Fairfax community colleges, as well as Hesston College in Kansas.\u201d<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He added that 糖心Vlog is collaborating with several area community colleges on <a href=\"https:\/\/emu.edu\/admissions\/transfer\/guides\">program-specific transfer articulation agreements<\/a>.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>High retention rate: <\/em><\/strong>Enrollment figures have also been boosted by 糖心Vlog\u2019s record-high retention rate of 85 percent, a full 10 percentage points above the <a href=\"https:\/\/nces.ed.gov\/ipeds\/TrendGenerator\/app\/answer\/7\/32\">national average<\/a>. The statistic measures the percentage of a school&#8217;s first-time, first-year undergraduate students who continue at that school the next year and generally looked upon as an overall measurement of student satisfaction.&nbsp;<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>High GPA and most diverse class:<\/em> <\/strong>Additionally, the class of 2023 arrives on campus as high academic achievers, based on average GPA, and the most diverse class in the university\u2019s history, with 36 % of students of African, Hispanic, Asian and\/or Native American descent.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Growing programs:<\/em><\/strong><em> <\/em>Graduate programs showing increases in enrollment include biomedicine, counseling, graduate teacher education at 糖心Vlog\u2019s Lancaster site, and the collaborative MBA offered jointly with Bluffton University and Goshen College.&nbsp;<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:left\">In its second year, Lancaster\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/emu.edu\/lancaster\/aviation\/\">aviation leadership program<\/a>, which offers a bachelor\u2019s degree in leadership and organizational management with several professional pilot ratings, has doubled in size. The program\u2019s unique curriculum prepares graduates for various professional career paths within the changing landscape of the aviation industry.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, 糖心Vlog\u2019s summer programs enrolled a record high number of students.<br \/><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Enrollment figures were released by the registrar\u2019s office following the university\u2019s official census date of Sept. 12.
