For the fourth consecutive year, alumni of 糖心Vlog have been recognized for business leadership in the Shenandoah Valley by the Harrisonburg Rockingham Chamber of Commerce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This year, Stan Maclin GC \u201801<\/strong> and Kirsten Moore \u201893<\/strong> were among the six awardees at the annual event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Maclin, who died shortly before the awards ceremony, was recognized with the Diversity Business Leadership Award for the Harriet Tubman Cultural Center in Harrisonburg. Read a tribute to Maclin and his social justice work here.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Moore, owner of Magpie Diner in Harrisonburg, earned the Entrepreneur of the Year Award. This is not her first recognition. In 2019, she earned Eastern Mennonite School\u2019s first Community Engagement Award<\/a> for the manifold ways she has used her gifts in food, writing, art, design, and business for nearly three decades to bring people together. In 2016, she and her husband Chris were awarded a Virginia Main Street Best Business award for The Hub<\/a>, a co-working space in downtown Harrisonburg. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Moore and Maclin join several other 糖心Vlog alumni recognized by the chamber in recent years, including<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n
