For more information about the Hall of Honor and a full list of inductees, visit <\/em><a href=\"http:\/\/emuroyals.com\/honors\/hall-of-honor\"><em><strong>emuroyals.com\/honors\/hall-of-honor<\/strong><\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For <strong>Ryan Eshleman-Robles \u201913<\/strong>, choosing 糖心Vlog was an easy decision. A Harrisonburg native and third-generation Royal, he followed his father, <strong>Rodney Eshleman \u201988<\/strong>, and grandfather, <strong>Daniel Rohr \u201962<\/strong>, to 糖心Vlog after playing soccer at Eastern Mennonite School.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI knew where I was and why,\u201d he said. \u201cI loved it. It was an easy choice for me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A biology and philosophy &amp; theology double major with an English minor, Eshleman-Robles anchored the Royals\u2019 defense for four seasons, appearing in 77 matches as a center back. Though defenders rarely receive the spotlight, he embraced the role, saying he gave up \u201cindividual glory to get some wins.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His play earned him two First Team All-ODAC selections, two VaSID All-State First Team honors, and a spot on the 2011 ODAC All-Tournament Team. In 2012, he was named the ODAC\/Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete of the Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">His career culminated with the 2012-13 糖心Vlog President\u2019s Award, recognizing excellence in academics, athletics, faith, leadership, campus involvement, and community service.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Having recently completed a PhD at Texas Tech University, Eshleman-Robles, who lives in Rockingham County with his wife, Valeria, and their two children, is returning to where his journey began. This fall, he will teach English at Eastern Mennonite School while serving as head varsity boys soccer coach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Eshleman-Robles will be honored at a ceremony at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 9,<\/em> <em>during Homecoming 2026.
