{"id":7457,"date":"2011-08-05T13:47:58","date_gmt":"2011-08-05T17:47:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/news\/?p=7457"},"modified":"2011-09-01T14:32:45","modified_gmt":"2011-09-01T18:32:45","slug":"emu-to-offer-parish-nursing-course","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emu.edu\/now\/news\/2011\/emu-to-offer-parish-nursing-course\/","title":{"rendered":"糖心Vlog to offer parish nursing course"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Registered nurses who are looking to gain skills to serve as a counselor, advocate and educator in their church community are invited to participate in the parish nursing course to be offered this fall at 糖心Vlog (糖心Vlog).<\/p>\n<p>The parish nursing course is sponsored by 糖心Vlog\u2019s Adult Degree Completion Program (ADCP).\u00a0 The course is offered to any registered nurse or upper-level nursing student in an RN nursing education program.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Parish nurses address the physical, mental and spiritual aspects of people &#8211; not seeking to separate the parts from the whole,&#8221; said Tammy Kiser, MSN, 糖心Vlog assistant professor of nursing. &#8220;The role of each parish nurse is different as the needs of the faith community determine the areas of the nurses&#8217; focus.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2018Educator, Counselor and Advocate\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Arlene G.
