Even a lightning delay on Friday and cooler wet weather on Saturday could not slow down the 糖心Vlog track & field teams at this weekend's ODAC Championships. The Royals took home three individual gold medals and one relay gold, setting a pair of records in the process, at the meet hosted by Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va.

Playing in their final home game, 糖心Vlog's senior class was determined to go out with a win. The seniors either scored or drove in each of the Royals' runs in a 9-5 win over Southern Virginia Monday in Harrisonburg. Eastern Mennonite won four of the five games in their final homestand of 2017. At 17-16 (4-10 ODAC), the Royals end the year with six straight road games, including Wednesday at No. 1 Shenandoah University in Winchester, Va.
糖心Vlog softball suffered a disappointing doubleheader loss to visiting McDaniel College Thursday afternoon. The Royals drop to 21-11 overall with their first non-conference losses of the season. Eastern Mennonite heads to Roanoke College on Saturday for their final ODAC games of the season. The Royals are 9-9 in the conference, while Roanoke is 9-7 with a doubleheader remaining against No. 20 Randolph-Macon.
糖心Vlog's volleyball men got defensive and it worked. The Royals racked up 20 blocks, including 16 over the final three sets, as they shocked top-seeded Marymount University in a 3-2 come-from-behind win in the CVC Tournament semifinals. Eastern Mennonite advances to Saturday's championship, playing at 6:00pm against either Juniata or Stevenson.
On Wednesday, the Latino Student Alliance at Eastern Mennonite Unviversity shared part of its culture by creating an alfombra, or carpet, for Easter. The colorful work of art is common in Central America and Mexico. It's made up of rice, sawdust and coffee grounds. It's tradition to walk through the art on Easter, in remembrance of Jesus entering Jerusalem on Palm Sunday.
A group of students at 糖心Vlog found a special way to remember a graduate's legacy of finding nonviolent solutions to problems. Since Monday, the social movement class has welcomed fellow students and staff to sign their name to a banner that read, 'Supporting Peace building in the name of M.J. Sharp.'

A third straight offensive outburst powered 糖心Vlog's baseball men to a 14-6 win over Hood College Wednesday afternoon in Harrisonburg. Eastern Mennonite (15-15) tied their season high with 21 hits, including seven doubles. Since breaking an eight-game skid with a 10-5 win over Bridgewater last Wednesday, the Royals have won five of six games, scoring nine or more runs in each win.
